Iris Cheng is the recipient of the Cecil and Betty Fong Community Services Scholarship / Peter C.K. and Theresa Kwan Memorial Scholarship

Iris is an incoming freshman at Harvard College, where she plans to major in government. In high school, Iris was extensively involved in speech and debate. She has worked with the Texas State Legislature to advocate for student rights and educational equity. As founder of a non-profit, the Literacy and Legislation Initiative, Iris conducts free writing workshops and has donated over $10,000 in pre-loved books to libraries. For her work in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, she is a recipient of the Princeton Prize in Race Relations. She looks forward to connecting with her Chinese heritage through CPC Houston!
