Karis Chen is a senior at Bellaire High School. She will attend Stanford University to double-major in Public Policy and Economics. Karis is the Editor-in-Chief of Bellaire’s student newspaper (Three Penny Press), Vice President of Student Council, and a four-year varsity athlete in volleyball and tennis. As captain of the debate team, she appreciates clear communication and enjoys staying up-to-date on politics. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the national parks and watching baseball with her parents and two younger brothers. Karis is grateful to receive The Patrick Pichi Sun & May-Lan Chew Sun Scholarship from CPC.
