Victoria Zhang is the recipient of the The Patrick Pichi Sun & May-Lan Chew Sun Scholarship
I am passionate about civic engagement and cultural representation. Being Chinese American is crucial to my identity. As the Executive Director of Expansion for Let’s Vote America and the Founder of Let’s Vote AAPI, civic education campaigns promoting youth and AAPI voter turnout, I led voter registration drives and canvassing efforts with the LWV, OCA, iCivics, and the Harris County Elections Office. As president of my school’s Asian Pacific American Culture Club, I addressed the spike of anti-Asian hate crimes and led a sit-in calling for action against racism. I will be attending Williams College as a QuestBridge Match Scholar.
